The mouth off is an online beatbox battle competition designed around allowing any and all artists with varied skill levels to compete!
There are 3 sections of the competition; Solo battles, Loopstation and Device battles & Madness.
Solo Battles: 1 on 1 standard battle format. Each artist will battle another across 4 rounds [2 rounds each]. However the final will be time attacks. The finalists will compete in 40 second rounds until both have done 4 rounds. This decision was made to encourage counters and more competitive battles.
Loopstation and Devices: Standard 1 on 1 battles using hardware equipment commonly seen across many competitions. The list of devices that are allowed and disallowed are present on our discord.
Madness: This category is our own based on the humour of the beatbox community. Madness will consist of 12 artists all on 1 online stage together going person to person each round. These rounds will not be like the standard solo format. Each round a task will be assigned and artists must meet these requirments during there set. Example: Use objects from around you to help with your rounds. This idea was ispired by D-Low’s BLE events so full credit to him!!
This is a Non-Profit event. Myself and our other contributors who are helping make this happen will not make any money from this. We will be broadcasting Via Streaming Services and our discord stage for free as this event is ment to just be for laughs and the joy of beatboxing. So even if you do not wish to participate, come and support the event and the artists performing.
The prizes for each category will be decided by the winners!! This means you can pick any prize as you please. Software. Hardware. Tickets. Even if you want your money in cash. The discussion will happen just after the winners are announced. [Up to £100 per winner]
There will be 16 places open for solo. 8 for loopstation and devices. And 16 for Madness.
Good luck to everyone who wants to take part!! Entery submitions will be announced in due course! Please do not be discouraged to sign up, this event is for every level of beatboxer and every style.
See you there
